Privacy Policy
Effective August 14, 2026
Daily Scroll Club (“we”, “us”) is a Screen Time app from dailyscroll.club. This policy explains what stays on your device, what an account stores, and how to reach us.
In short
- Which apps and sites you pause are chosen with Apple’s Screen Time tools and stay on your device. We do not receive that list or your browsing history.
- Setup signs you in with Sign in with Apple and starts or joins a chapter. A chapter of one is valid.
- After you leave a chapter or delete your account, a personal Daily scroll can continue on this device. Chapter features that involve other people require an account.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the app.
Information on your device
To pause apps, Daily Scroll Club uses Apple’s Family Controls / Screen Time APIs. Opaque selection tokens, your schedule, protection state, shield preferences, and your local pause streak are stored in an App Group on the device (and related system storage Apple provides for these APIs).
We cannot read which apps you selected from our servers, because that data never leaves the device in a form we can interpret. System labels for selected apps also remain private to the device.
Account
Setup uses Sign in with Apple (via our authentication provider, Supabase) so we can create an account for chapters and related features. Depending on what you use, that may include:
- Account identifiers and sign-in metadata from Apple
- A display name and emoji you choose
- Your pause streak (a count of consecutive days stayed paused), so it can appear on a chapter roster
- Chapter membership details (chapter name, emoji, schedule hour, invite code, role, join time)
- Emergency Access usage for the monthly allowance when you are signed in (event timestamps and related quota fields)
- A device installation identifier so signed-in devices can be associated with your account. This identifier is created on the device and is not an advertising identifier.
Account data is stored with Supabase (our backend host). Access is scoped with authentication and row-level policies so members only see what a feature needs (for example, other members’ display names, emojis, and pause streaks in a chapter you share).
Invite links
Chapter invite pages on dailyscroll.club may show an invite code from the link you open. If Daily Scroll Club is installed, that link can open the app (Universal Links). Those pages are for joining in the app; they do not by themselves create an account.
The invite page copies the invite only when you tap Copy invite. The app reads the clipboard only when you tap Paste invite, to fill a chapter code. It writes the clipboard only when you tap Copy. We do not read the clipboard in the background or when the app launches.
Website
Our marketing and invite pages are static. Hosting may produce ordinary server or CDN logs (such as IP address, user agent, and request time). We do not run advertising trackers on the site.
How we use information
- To provide pausing, scheduling, chapters, and Emergency Access
- To show chapter presence (name, emoji, streak) to people you share those features with
- To secure accounts and prevent abuse of invite codes and allowances
- To respond when you contact us
Sharing
We share account-related data with service providers that help us run the product (notably authentication and database hosting). We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the service and our users from fraud or abuse.
People in your chapter can see the profile details those features display (such as display name, emoji, and pause streak).
Retention and deletion
On-device Screen Time selections and local settings remain until you change them, delete the app, or clear them through the app’s controls.
If you delete your account in the app, we delete the server-side account data associated with that account and revoke Sign in with Apple tokens for this app. Daily Scroll Club can still work on the device for a personal Daily scroll after account deletion. Some residual records may remain in backups for a limited time.
To request help with deletion or privacy questions, email hello@dailyscroll.club.
Children
Daily Scroll Club is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us account information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Your choices
- Leave a chapter and keep a personal Daily scroll on this device, or delete a chapter you admin
- Change Apps & Sites while they are available (during Daily scroll or Emergency Access). Outside that window the list stays locked so the pause holds. You can always revoke Screen Time access for Daily Scroll Club in iOS Settings, which stops pausing.
- Delete your account in the app when signed in
- Revoke Screen Time access for Daily Scroll Club in iOS Settings
Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. When we do, we will revise the effective date on this page. Continued use of the app or site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
